


It's something about the character designs and the way dialog is presented (and written).

Many franchises have tried (and generally failed) to graft a completely different style of gameplay onto their brand, some a blatant cash grab and others a genuine attempt to broaden the appeal. It's not like the other MGS series games.So, coming in with a clean slate, I have a few ideas why the MGS community are not fans of this game: I generally ignore microtransactions in all their various forms, but I don't hate games simply for having them.

It's on Xbox Game Pass, so costing me nothing to give it a spin. As such, this game is very strange- but I'm also enjoying it so far. I've never played any of the MGS series, so I'm not familiar with the characters or story, nor do I have an opinion on Konami one way or the other.
